More About Bodegas Vallemayor
IN THE HEART OF LA RIOJA
Fuenmayor, one of the first towns in La Rioja to revive vineyards after France's phylloxera plague, played a key role in restoring local wine production. Early winemakers here replanted American-grafted Tempranillo, Mazuelo, Viura, and Garnacha vines, establishing a foundation of lasting value. Among them was Don Luis Foncea, grandfather of Bodegas Vallemayor's founder, Don Luis Pérez Foncea, who embraced the industry’s early 20th-century changes.

A classic Rioja, crafted only in outstanding vintages. It’s rich with red and black fruit aromas, hints of licorice, and subtle balsamic and spicy nuances from extended French oak aging. Smooth, warm, and long-lasting on the palate.

Vallemayor Singular:
From the exclusive "La Cerradilla" vineyard, this Tempranillo offers cherry and red berry flavors, with notes of vanilla, pepper, and mineral accents. Aged 20 months in French oak, it’s soft yet full-bodied with a balanced, persistent finish.
