FERIA DE ABRIL
Our third consecutive year bringing the Feria de Abril to the streets we love. We’re bridge-hopping from Ancoats to the Northern Quarter, bringing the soul of the Guadalquivir straight to the banks of the Rochdale Canal.
From the first pour of Licor 43 to the final Flamenco bow, the weekend is yours. Come live on Spanish time.
About the Event
Originating in Seville, the Feria de Abril is Spain’s most iconic celebration of spring—a week-long festival where the city transforms into a vibrant world of color, culture, and community. It’s a time defined by the rhythmic stomp of Flamenco dancers, the clink of glasses filled with ice-cold Rebujito, and the shared tradition of Pescaito Frito. Traditionally held in private tents called casetas, the fair is about more than just a party; it’s a soulful expression of Andalusian life. We’re capturing that exact energy and bringing it to Manchester, blending the traditional fire of the south with our own industrial streets for a celebration that’s all about great music, incredible food, and better company.

More About The History Of "Feria de Sevilla"
April Fair
April Fair or the Seville Fair is a week-long festival held every year in Seville, Spain during April-May two weeks after Easter Sunday. The origins of holding the fair in April are deeply rooted in historical and cultural factors. The fair celebrates Andalusian culture through flamenco dancing, music, traditional costumes, food and lots of rebujito.
Cena del Pescaíto
'Cena del Pescaíto' means "Fish Dinner" and pays” homage to the "Pescaíto Frito" or "Fried Fish" tradition of Seville Fair. Fishermen from the Guadalquivir River would bring their catch to cook and enjoy at the fair, and this tradition became an integral part of the culinary experience symbolising the festive spirit and camaraderie of the event.

Significance of Serving Fish
Fish holds cultural significance in Andalusian cuisine and is deeply rooted in the region's culinary heritage. In Andalusia, seafood is abundant and widely enjoyed, thanks to its proximity to the Mediterranean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean. Fish dishes are often associated with freshness, simplicity, and a connection to the sea.
Serving fish at the "Cena del Pescaíto" not only honours this culinary tradition but also adds to the festive atmosphere of the event. It provides attendees with an opportunity to savour the flavours of Andalusia and experience authentic Spanish cuisine first-hand.
But don't worry, if you are not a fan of seafood, we have other dishes available for you to choose from.
